"Sleep Well Even on Tropical Nights" Lotte Department Store Holds 'Summer Bedding Festival' Models are showcasing summer bedding at Lotte Department Store.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Lotte Department Store announced on the 25th that starting from the main store on the 27th, followed by Jamsil, Yeongdeungpo, Busan main stores, and a total of 26 stores nationwide, it will sequentially hold the largest summer bedding event, the 'Summer Bedding Festival.'

Recently, with daytime temperatures nationwide exceeding 30 degrees Celsius and early summer weather continuing, the number of people experiencing sleepless nights is increasing. According to the National Health Insurance Service, the number of people complaining of 'sleep disorders,' who cannot get enough sleep at night and suffer disruptions in daily life, has increased by an average of 8% annually over the past five years. The 'Sleeponomics' market, which involves investing in comfortable sleep, is rapidly growing to a scale of 3 trillion KRW domestically. Recently, Lotte Department Store co-planned with bedding brands Sopraum and Sesa to launch summer goose down and cooling pads, which sold nearly 2,000 units each within about a month of the event's start. Since bedding greatly affects comfortable sleep, Lotte Department Store announced it will hold the 'Summer Bedding Festival' for sound sleep amid the early heat.

This event features famous brands such as Cozynest, Renoma Home, and Elle, offering summer bedding products at the year's biggest discounts, along with special price items and gift promotions.

Summer functional material bedding will be offered at discounted prices. The 'Eluze Wool' comforter has excellent breathability and outstanding heat retention, making it ideal for maintaining optimal sleep temperature. Wool has moisture absorption and release effects 3.5 times that of cotton, 4 times that of silk, and 40 times that of synthetic fibers. The 'Crispin Rayon' comforter is designed with a flower pattern using rayon, known as 'air conditioner fiber' for its cool touch, satisfying both functionality and design. The 'Polif' comforter uses ripple material for a cool feel, soft texture, and breathability. Wool and rayon comforters are sold at up to 40% discount, and the Polif comforter is offered in the 50,000 KRW range.

Eco-friendly products using the 'Carbon Zero' material, introduced for the first time in Korea, are also prepared. Cozynest, a bedding brand participating in this event, presents three special price products made with 'Carbon Zero Tencel Modal' material, which reduces carbon emissions during yarn production by more than 80% compared to regular modal. Products include 'Rest Modal Quilt,' 'Illa Modal Quilt,' and 'Nature Miki Quilt.'

Customers who purchase over 200,000 KRW during the event will receive a laundry net as a gift, and some items will have an additional 7% discount.

O Se-eun, head of the lifestyle division, said, "Bedding is used not only at home but also in various areas such as camping and travel," adding, "As the demand for comfortable sleep is high, we plan to continue offering various events to provide customers with a comfortable sleeping environment."
