Grid Signs Multilateral MOU for 'Food Metaverse' Construction Project Purpose

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Metaverse platform company Grid announced on the 23rd that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with CJ OliveNetworks, Galaxia Metaverse, and Wemakeprice O to build a 'Food Metaverse' project.

The MOU signing ceremony held at the CJ OliveNetworks headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul was attended by key business officials from each company, including Choi Cheolsun, CEO of Grid, Lee Jooyoung, Senior Executive Director of DT Business Division 1 at CJ OliveNetworks, Ko Gwangrim, CEO of Galaxia Metaverse, and Ha Jaewook, CEO of Wemakeprice O.

The 'Food Metaverse' is a new form of metaverse (E2E) service that connects consumer experiences and rewards by applying gamification elements.

Through this MOU, Grid, CJ OliveNetworks, Galaxia Metaverse, and Wemakeprice O will focus on their respective areas of expertise and mutually cooperate in technology development, business proposals, sales activities, and project execution by leveraging their own capabilities.

Grid plans to provide an important foundation for building a new metaverse ecosystem by combining its self-developed metaverse platform 'moim' with the 'Food Metaverse.' The strategy is to expand service coverage from existing services specialized in non-face-to-face conferences such as education, meetings, and forums to a platform that offers diverse consumer experiences.

Choi Cheolsun, CEO of Grid, stated, "With this MOU as an opportunity, we will build a metaverse commerce ecosystem that connects real life and the virtual world, enabling us to present new purchasing experiences and differentiated services."
