De-subsidization Rate Achieves 57% Success... Receives 4 Million Won Incentive
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Muju County announced on the 23rd that the Muju Regional Self-Support Center received the top score in the 2021 joint local government evaluation indicators by Jeonbuk Province.
The self-support work project is a program that provides government-funded jobs to low-income individuals with work ability to increase their motivation to work and will for self-support, thereby encouraging them to exit welfare dependency and seek employment or start a business.
According to Muju County, among the 56 participants in the self-support work project last year, 6 successfully exited welfare dependency, achieving an exit rate of 57%.
As a result, Muju County ranked first in the province in combined performance indicators such as the success rate of self-support project participants and the achievement rate of savings account projects (such as the Youth Hope Tomorrow Kiwoom Account), earning an incentive of 4 million won.
Muju County signed a consignment contract last year with the Muju Regional Self-Support Center, which provides integrated welfare services for independence and self-support, operating five self-support work groups and supporting about 60 people with a total budget of 900 million won.
