Dongbu Construction announced on the 23rd that it was selected as an excellent construction company this year based on the construction evaluation results for the 2021 semi-public housing districts by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
The selected category was the housing sector, with the projects being the Incheon Geomdan AA-9BL Apartment Construction Project Section 1 and the Hanam Gamil B4BL Apartment Construction Project Section 9.
The Incheon Geomdan apartments, commissioned by LH and constructed by Dongbu Construction, consist of seven buildings ranging from basement level 1 to 15/25 floors. Civil engineering work began in December 2018, construction was completed in June 2020, and residents started moving in August last year. A customer quality evaluation was also completed in January this year.
The Hanam Gamil apartments, where Dongbu Construction was selected as the main contractor, consist of seven buildings from basement level 2 to 29 floors. Auxiliary facilities include a management office, senior citizens' center, community facilities, daycare center, and a small library.
The Hanam Gamil apartments began construction in 2019 and were completed in September last year. Usage approval was obtained in October of the same year, followed by the LH construction evaluation, and residents completed moving in by March this year.
A Dongbu Construction representative stated, "Based on our company's excellent technical capabilities, we have achieved the distinction of being selected as an excellent construction company," adding, "We will continue to strive to supply high-quality housing."
