Cyber Forensic Experts Association Appoints Choi Kang-yong, Chairman of CY Group, as 3rd President


[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Choi Kang-yong, chairman of CY Group, has been inaugurated as the 3rd president of the Korea Cyber Forensic Professional Association (KCFPA).


KCFPA announced on the 23rd that it held a general meeting and the inauguration ceremony for the association president on the 20th at the association's conference room.


Chairman Choi, who succeeded the 2nd president Kim Do-young, is the nephew of the late Shin Kyuk-ho, former chairman of Lotte Group. He currently serves as chairman of CY Group, chairman of Beauty Bakery, chairman of PlasQ, vice chairman of the Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation Committee, standing representative of the Korea-France-Bulgaria Economic Cooperation Committee, and an inside director of Kukbo.


At the inauguration ceremony, Chairman Choi said, "I am very honored to be inaugurated as the president of the Korea Cyber Forensic Professional Association," and added, "I will spare no effort to provide maximum support so that the association can be renewed and develop this year."


KCFPA, established in 2003, is an organization composed of the top cyber forensic experts in Korea. It conducts internationally certified 'Certified Cyber Forensic Professional' education, forensic technology, consulting services, and fosters experts through scholarship programs.
