[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Junho] The Women and Youth Division of the Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju Metropolitan City recently conducted a mobile street counseling event called 'Youth Counseling Bus, Let's Fly on the Bus,' the office announced on the 22nd.
This was carried out proactively in response to the increase in school violence and delinquent behavior due to the rise in youth activities following the lifting of COVID-19 social distancing measures.
On the day of the event, a counseling bus was parked near the Asia Culture Center for easy access, and related personnel from the school police officers, Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, and Out-of-School Youth Support Center attended to counsel youths on their concerns and connect them with various support services.
A Dongbu Police Station official stated, “We will continue to conduct ongoing street counseling to resolve various concerns of youths, including school violence, and strengthen activities to identify and support at-risk youths such as out-of-school youths, doing our best to protect young people.”
