Samsung Home Appliances Receive Consecutive 'Top Ratings' from European Consumer Media

Samsung Electronics' home appliances team in the UK attended the 'Which? Awards 2022' held in London, UK, on the 19th and received the 'Best Large Appliance Brand of the Year' award.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] Samsung Electronics' home appliances have been consecutively selected as the top brand in evaluations by European consumer media.

On the 22nd, Samsung Electronics announced that it was chosen as the "Best Large Home Appliance Brand of the Year" at the "Which? Awards 2022," hosted by the UK's most prestigious consumer association magazine, Which?. This achievement follows the recent honor of being the only home appliance brand to receive the highly prestigious "Queen's Royal Warrant" certification from the British Royal Family.

Which? is a UK consumer association magazine that, since 2007, annually selects the best brands in 11 categories?including automobiles, IT (computers and mobile), and home appliances?based on expert evaluations and diverse consumer opinions, awarding the "Best Brand of the Year" to those demonstrating outstanding products and services.

In evaluations by consumer media in Sweden and Denmark, Samsung Electronics' refrigerators were ranked first. The Samsung refrigerator selected as the best product (model RR40M7165WW) is a single-door refrigerator dedicated to refrigeration. Single-door refrigerators account for more than 40% of the market in Sweden and Denmark, making them the most popular product type.

Swedish consumer media Rad&Ron awarded Samsung's single-door refrigerator 80 points out of 47 models evaluated, ranking it first. This marks Samsung refrigerators' fifth consecutive year at the top in this category since 2018. Rad&Ron praised the product, stating, "It maintains a consistent temperature set by the user without variation anywhere inside the compartment, and compared to other products, it excels in temperature stability even in the upper door storage area, which is prone to temperature fluctuations."

Danish consumer media Tank also gave Samsung's refrigerator the highest score of 79 points, ranking it first. Tank highly praised the product for excelling in nearly all categories, especially awarding high marks for energy consumption efficiency, temperature stabilization technology, and refrigeration performance.
