[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] It is reported that President Yoon Seok-yeol and First Lady Kim Geon-hee will attend the 'Open Concert' held at the Blue House on the evening of the 22nd.
The concert, held on the outdoor stage in the Grand Garden in front of the Blue House main building, was organized to commemorate the opening of the Blue House to the public. An outdoor stage was set up with the main building, symbolizing the Blue House, as the backdrop, and the KBS Symphony Orchestra, traditional vocalists, and opera singers will perform. In particular, 500 invited citizens, including residents of Hyoja-dong and Samcheong-dong near the Blue House, Korean War veterans and other national merit recipients, multicultural and single-parent families, healthcare workers, volunteers from animal protection organizations, and students from Seoul School for the Blind, are also expected to attend.
Meanwhile, on the previous day, First Lady Kim made a surprise appearance at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where the Korea-US summit welcome dinner was held, and greeted U.S. President Joe Biden. Wearing a white two-piece suit with an updo hairstyle and white gloves, First Lady Kim greeted President Biden at the entrance of the National Museum of Korea and then viewed the artworks inside. However, she did not attend the welcome dinner.
