Gyeonggi Job Foundation Launches University Student Employment Support Project "Sooker"

[Asia Economy (Bucheon) = Reporter Lee Younggyu] The Gyeonggi Job Foundation is launching an employment support project for university students.

The Gyeonggi Regional Saeil Center of the Gyeonggi Job Foundation announced on May 22 that it will run the employment support project "Sooker (Start of Women's Career)" for three months until July 22.

About 120 university students from 12 universities in the province-Kangnam University, Kyonggi University, Kyungbok University, Sungkyul University, Suwon University, Anyang University, Osan University, Pyeongtaek University, Hankyong National University, Hansae University, Hanshin University, and Hyupsung University-who wish to seek employment and whose schools have signed business agreements with the foundation, will participate in this project.

Sooker is a project sponsored by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, jointly planned by the Gyeonggi Regional Saeil Center and local universities, with the aim of motivating students to prepare for employment and enhancing their understanding of various job roles.

The center will provide comprehensive employment support for university students preparing for job hunting by offering a variety of employment programs.

Participants will take part in programs offered by the Saeil Center, including ▲special lectures to strengthen competencies such as career development trends for the MZ generation, ▲the live class "Chwijunjindam" with employed seniors in each job field, and ▲employment special lectures and one-day classes.

In addition, they will receive free online employment support services such as resume clinics and mock interviews through "Dream Wings," the foundation's online career development center.

Hong Chunhee, Head of the Women's Competency Development Division, said, "The foundation is making multifaceted efforts to operate various career interruption prevention and employment support programs for university students. We hope that through this program, students will be able to strengthen their job-seeking capabilities and overcome the difficulties they face in finding employment."
