Hyundai Motor Company, Recruiting for the 'Future Car School'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 22nd that it is actively recruiting for the "Future Automobile School Growing Dreams with Hyundai Motor Company (Future Automobile School)" to nurture talent for the future automobile industry.

The "Future Automobile School," recruiting from the 23rd of this month until the 17th of next month, consists of classes designed to help young people explore career paths through a specialized career education program for middle school free semester system and creative experiential activities for elementary school students.

Future Automobile School, developed by Hyundai Motor Company in 2016 as the first private company to sign a business agreement with the Ministry of Education, has been continuously operated from 2016 to 2021 targeting about 60,000 students from 1,500 elementary and middle schools nationwide. It received consistent praise from the education sector for its easy and fun composition of the engineering principles of automobiles and systematic experiential learning related to future mobility.

In 2022, new content focusing on clean mobility and sustainability will cover the concept of mobility newly emerging in the future, providing experiential learning that can be applied to club activities and after-school learning tailored to the growth generation's level.

In particular, to increase participation opportunities for schools in rural agricultural and fishing villages and specialized schools, a separate evaluation will be conducted during the selection process. Participating schools will be supported with programs that enable proactive class participation, such as online teacher training, autonomous driving mobility experience kits, and personalized smart mobility planning documents.

The class structure includes a regular program for middle school students, a short-term program, and an elementary program for grades 4-6, all organized as experiential learning.

The regular program for middle school students will be conducted under the themes of ▲ Mobility and Valuable Time ▲ The Energy Era Opened by Clean Mobility ▲ Sustainable Future Society. The short-term middle school program will cover the themes of ▲ Robots: Beyond Imagination, New Challenges of Mobility ▲ Mobility: All Together, Mobility Beneficial to the World ▲ Smart City: Riding Future Mobility into the World GO!.

Meanwhile, the "Future Automobile School" won the highest award, the "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Award," for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017 at the "Free Semester System Excellent Case Contest" hosted by the Ministry of Education. It was also recognized for its excellence by receiving the "Minister of Education Commendation for Career Education Contributors" in 2019.
