From May 16 to July 15, Special Works by Renowned Domestic Artists Presented at Gangnam Media Gallery
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu will hold a special exhibition titled "Drawing, City" at media galleries installed throughout the streets from May 16 to July 15.
The exhibition showcases works by 10 renowned Korean artists who depict the city and the people living within it from various perspectives.
In the painting category, artists Kim Young-gu, Kim Young-woon, Kwon Sung-woon, Noh Ban, and Kim Eun-mi participated, while in the motion graphics and animation category, artists Meari, Yoo Min-ha, Go Sook, Park Yoo-jung, and Jeon Jin-pyo took part. Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of works, from the weighty pieces of artists with numerous exhibitions and awards to cheerful works highlighting each artist's unique personality.
The "Drawing, City" special exhibition is held at three media galleries: Cheongdam Media Street, Cheongdam Urban Frame, and Segok Urban Cloud. At Sinsa Dynamic Grid, 10 award-winning works selected from the "2022 Media Art Video Content Contest" held last April are being broadcast.
Gong Seung-ho, head of the New Design Division, said, "We prepared this 'Drawing, City' special exhibition so that anyone can appreciate high-quality works by renowned domestic artists on the streets," adding, "We hope to continue planning various exhibitions that reflect the dignity of Gangnam-gu, and that Gangnam-gu's media galleries will become valuable platforms for artists to exhibit their works and resting spaces where citizens can enjoy cultural life."
