[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] A fire broke out on the afternoon of the 21st at Samgak Mansion in Yongsan-gu, near the presidential office, resulting in 10 residents being transported to the hospital.
According to the fire authorities on the 21st, the fire at Samgak Mansion in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, started around 6:30 PM and was extinguished after 1 hour and 15 minutes. There were no fatalities, but 10 residents inhaled smoke and were taken to the hospital.
The fire was confirmed to have started in a household on the 2nd floor of the six-story Samgak Mansion apartment. The fire authorities deployed 29 pieces of equipment and 109 personnel to suppress the fire. The authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage.
