[Weather] Nationwide Early Summer Heat on Sunday... Daegu Reaches 32 Degrees at Noon

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] On Sunday the 22nd, the whole country will be mostly clear, but some areas will experience early summer heat with daytime highs exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 12 and 19 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 21 and 32 degrees Celsius. Daegu and Changwon will have daytime highs of 32 degrees, with many places nationwide exceeding 30 degrees during the day.

Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.

In the northeastern part of Gyeonggi Province and the central to northern Yeongseo region of Gangwon Province, raindrops will fall in the morning. Additionally, in the afternoon, there will be strong gusts, thunder, lightning, and showers in the central and southern mountainous areas of Gangwon, the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and the northern eastern coast of Gyeongbuk.

Until the morning, sea fog will flow into the West Sea coast, causing temperatures to drop overnight in the inland areas of Chungnam and Jeonbuk, with dense fog reducing visibility to less than 200 meters in some places.

There will also be fog with visibility less than 1 km in inland Gyeonggi, Yeongseo region of Gangwon, Chungbuk, inland Jeonnam, and western inland Gyeongnam, so caution is advised.

Especially near bridges adjacent to the West Sea coast (such as Seohae Bridge, Yeongjong Bridge, Incheon Bridge) and roads, as well as near rivers or lakes, dense fog may form, so special attention to traffic safety is required.

Sea fog will also be dense in the West Sea, South Sea, and Jeju Island coastal waters, so maritime safety accidents should be carefully monitored.
