[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Provincial Election Commission is operating the Nationwide Simultaneous Local Election Policy and Pledge Awareness Week until the 26th.

This was prepared to create an atmosphere where voters can check candidates' policies and pledges and participate in voting.

The Gyeongnam Election Commission announced that on the Central Election Commission's policy and pledge representative website, all candidates' election brochures, the top 5 pledges and election pledge documents of local government heads and education superintendent candidates, as well as content related to participation in policy elections, are provided.

To improve information accessibility for visually impaired voters, candidates and parties were guided to submit election brochures and other materials as document PDF files with voice output capability.

In the candidate pledge section, by entering the "View Candidate Pledges at a Glance" board, you can select and compare candidates and pledges from each region.

Voters nationwide can also check hopeful pledges directly proposed by voters and 17 city/province-specific pledge issue keywords selected through big data analysis of regional media and SNS by the Korean Political Science Association.

A Gyeongnam Election Commission official said, “We will strive to ensure that policy elections, where voters check candidates' policies and pledges and participate in voting, become a part of everyday life.”
