[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance announced on the 20th that it held the 'Nonghyup P&C Insurance ESG Advisory Committee' at its headquarters in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul on the 19th.
In line with Nonghyup Financial Group's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, Nonghyup P&C Insurance established and has been operating the 'ESG Advisory Committee' composed of experts from academia and industry since February last year to build a sustainable ESG corporate culture.
At the advisory committee meeting, Professor Hyunmi Ji from Keimyung University was appointed as a new member, and there was a discussion between the management and advisory members on the direction of establishing a climate risk management system to respond to climate change.
Choi Moonseop, CEO of NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance, said, "While we focused on laying the foundation for ESG management last year, this year we plan to concretize ESG management by establishing carbon neutrality strategies, climate risk assessment and management policies, and pursuing ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) certification." He added, "We will do our best to advance ESG management to the next level based on the interest and advice of the advisory committee members."
