Yeonggwang-gun to Hold Cultural Walk Performance at Seoul Arts Center on the 26th

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that the performance "THE KOREAN MUSIC Olla" will be held as part of the "2022 Culture Day" cultural walk program at 7 p.m. on the 26th at the outdoor performance hall of Yeonggwang Arts Center.

This performance features the "Orgel Cooperative," consisting of Bang Suji, Jeong Seokju, Lee Hwarim, Choi Seonguk, Jeong Gwanyeong, and Kim Nuri, who add the energy of young performers to the genre of gugak, which can be perceived as boring, difficult, and heavy music, presenting new gugak composed by themselves that is fun, easy to enjoy, and makes the audience laugh.

Additionally, through diverse artistic stages such as gugak songs and pungmul (pan-gut), the performance encourages everyone to clap and enjoy together, uplifting the audience's spirits, delivering hope and comfort to those tired of repetitive daily life, and providing the strength to let go of weary hearts and move forward with a renewed mindset.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association and Yeonggwang-gun, this performance was selected as part of the 2022 Regional Culture and Arts Center Culture Day support project by the Korea Culture and Arts Association.

Admission is free, and anyone can attend by visiting the outdoor performance hall (central stairs) of Yeonggwang Arts Center.

Culture Day is a day held on the last Wednesday of every month to provide various cultural benefits so that the public can easily access culture in their daily lives.

On Culture Day, about 2,000 cultural facilities nationwide, including movie theaters, performance halls, museums, art galleries, and cultural heritage sites, encourage visitors to enjoy discounts or free admission.
