[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The ‘Hanam Innovation Support Center,’ operated under consignment by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Economic Employment Promotion Agency, held the ‘2022 1st Partners Day’ on the 20th to share business introductions and achievements by resident organizations and to foster cooperative networking.
The ‘Hanam Innovation Support Center’ is a facility aimed at supporting resident companies within the industrial complex and enhancing their competitiveness. It was completed in May 2020 with a total facility investment of 9 billion KRW, including 4 billion KRW in national funding. The center covers a site area of 5,478㎡ and has six floors above ground. It operates projects such as ▲ support services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and workers, ▲ leasing of facilities and auxiliary equipment, and ▲ attracting related organizations to support SMEs and workers.
In April 2020, the Gwangju Metropolitan City (Investment Attraction Division) signed a ‘Hanam Innovation Support Center Management Consignment Agreement’ with the Gwangju Economic Promotion Agency. Starting with attracting the SME support organization ‘Gwangju Metropolitan City Win-Win Job Foundation,’ as of May this year, the agency has completed lease contracts with a total of 12 organizations across floors 2 to 6 without any vacancies. This event was planned to strengthen communication and cooperative networking by sharing ongoing projects and information among resident organizations.
The event was held in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the Hanam Innovation Support Center. Twelve resident organizations presented their achievements, including four institutions such as the ‘Gwangju Metropolitan City Win-Win Job Foundation’ (CEO Kim Dong-chan) and the ‘Gwangsan District Women Entrepreneurs Association.’ Additionally, four companies in the service sector (Fine Day Entertainment Co., Ltd., Cheonan Administrative Office, KS Industrial Safety Association Co., Ltd., KS Enterprise Center Co., Ltd.) and two companies in the manufacturing sector (Popas Korea, Central Link) participated. Discussions were also held on building internal and external partnerships and program linkage plans.
With the mission of ‘supporting corporate activities of SMEs and enhancing the rights and welfare of workers,’ the Hanam Innovation Support Center is focusing on quickly establishing itself as a member of the Hanam Industrial Complex and finding ways to be recognized as a partner by resident companies. To this end, it is concentrating on building networks and discovering cooperative projects with local SME support organizations and intermediary support organizations.
Ideas from partner companies participating in the regularly held ‘Partners Day’ will also be comprehensively incorporated into SME support projects.
Director Park Sung-soo stated, “This event has newly established a venue for communication and exchange within the Hanam Industrial Complex,” and added, “We ask for the interest and cooperation of various partner companies in future ‘Partners Day’ events held at the Hanam Innovation Support Center to seek community participation and growth through continuous partnership building within the Hanam Industrial Complex.”
