Plant Expert Visit: Plant Condition Diagnosis, Consulting, and Treatment Provided
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that it will officially implement the ‘Companion Plant Ambulance,’ which was first introduced nationwide last year and received great response from citizens.
The Companion Plant Ambulance is a plant rescue team where plant experts directly dispatch to places with companion plants in need of help, diagnose the plant’s condition, provide treatment such as repotting and pruning, offer plant care methods, consultations, and pot arrangement consulting.
Last year, the team dispatched a total of 25 times, providing repotting, pruning, pot care methods, and renewal consultations to 103 stores, receiving great acclaim from citizens.
This year, the Companion Plant Ambulance will expand its operations not only to the pot placement streets in front of homes and stores but also to village shared gardens, small gardens, and target sites for creating Euddeum villages.
Any citizen can apply through the respective eup, myeon, dong administrative welfare centers or the Suncheon City Autonomous Innovation Division.
The service will be provided every Tuesday and Thursday, and a system will also be operated to dispatch at any time if deemed urgent.
A Suncheon City official said, “To successfully host the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo and create a garden city where the entire urban area becomes one garden, we will do our best to solidify the operation of the Companion Plant Ambulance so that all citizens can continuously grow plants and cultivate gardens in their daily lives.”
Meanwhile, Suncheon City is organizing and operating a total of about 400 citizen garden promotion teams across 24 eup, myeon, and dong to focus on creating Euddeum villages and pot placement streets, contributing to urban garden creation.
