Resolving 10 Years of Conflict and Finally Achieving Harmony
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 20th, Nogwan-gyu, candidate for Suncheon mayor, announced that he held a policy agreement ceremony with the Suncheon branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union at the election office located in Yeonhyang-dong the previous day.
At the public officials' union, Branch Chief Kim Gwang-ja and Deputy Branch Chief Hong Kyung-hyun attended and delivered a policy questionnaire to candidate Nogwan-gyu.
The policy questionnaire contained 12 demands from the public officials' union, including the enactment of an ordinance to protect and support public officials against malicious civil complaints, establishment of a gender-equal organizational culture, and guaranteeing the three labor rights of public officials in accordance with international standards. The policy agreement was made by candidate Nogwan-gyu's signature.
After the policy agreement, candidate Nogwan-gyu and the leadership of the National Public Officials Labor Union Suncheon branch took commemorative photos together, maintaining a consistently warm and friendly atmosphere.
That day’s agreement ceremony was evaluated as laying the foundation for harmony and communication by resolving the conflicts with the public officials' union that had lasted for the past 10 years.
