He also pledged to expand support for non-profit organizations for the elderly.
▲ Realizing a Dementia-Free Suncheon
Among the approximately 40,000 elderly population in Suncheon, the tentatively counted number of dementia patients is about 5,000, exceeding 10% of the elderly population, and the number of dementia patients is increasing day by day.
In response, candidate Oh promised to expand support for dementia treatment and care supplies, increase support for home treatment of elderly dementia patients, and assist low-income families with dementia patients.

Currently, 680 senior centers are operating in Suncheon, with membership reaching about 19,000.
The current operating expenses range from 110,000 to 130,000 KRW, and candidate Oh Ha-geun promised to improve the environment by increasing the operating budget for senior centers.
He also pledged to provide activity allowances to senior center presidents and secretaries.
This is a plan to offer a small token of appreciation to the elderly who have been managing the daily affairs of senior centers without any activity allowance until now.
Additionally, he pledged to establish an Integrated Employment Support Center for the Elderly.
