[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has created a 'Q&A Casebook' containing major inquiries from civil petitioners related to nonprofit corporations and posted it on the Gyeonggi Provincial Government website (www.gg.go.kr).
To establish a nonprofit corporation, approval from the competent authority is required according to Article 32 of the Civil Act. However, petitioners face difficulties due to complex administrative procedures such as finding the competent authority for approval and preparing the necessary documents for establishment.
Accordingly, through this casebook, the province selected 50 frequently asked questions received via phone and in writing regarding ▲the concept of corporations ▲preparation for establishing a corporation ▲application for establishment approval ▲amendment of articles of incorporation, and explained them in an easy-to-understand manner based on relevant laws and precedents.
The province also discloses the approval status of over 2,300 nonprofit corporations in the province, including a nonprofit corporation work manual, on its website.
A provincial official stated, "Through the distribution of the Q&A casebook, we aim to promote the convenience of residents and will continue to revise and supplement the casebook regularly for ongoing improvement."
