[Cannes (France) = Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Following directors Bong Joon-ho and Han Jae-rim, Lee Jung-jae also sent a spoiler letter. Although somewhat rough, the letter was filled with heartfelt sincerity, conveying earnest requests to the press attending the Cannes Film Festival.

Lee Jung-jae wrote a spoiler letter for 'Hunt,' which will be revealed through a premiere screening at the Lumi?re Theater at midnight on the 19th (local time), in a press release delivered to the 75th Cannes Film Festival press corps.

Director Lee Jung-jae, whose directorial debut 'Hunt' is being showcased this year in the Midnight Screening section of the non-competitive category at Cannes, reportedly wanted to convey his feelings entirely on his own without relying on others. He judged that personally delivering his sincere feelings was more important than striving for more polished sentences or words.

In the letter titled "A Request," Lee began, "It is not a problem if you know a little more or a little earlier. It is also very appreciated when you share what you know with others with good intentions."

He continued, "I believe spoilers that interfere with someone's enjoyment and the emotions that only that person wants to fully experience can damage the memories of those who have been waiting for this film."

Then, the director earnestly asked, "For the precious memories of others and for the staff and actors who made this film with all their heart, I sincerely ask for your small consideration."

Finally, he reiterated, "Once again, I earnestly request that you refrain from spoilers revealing the true nature of the characters shown in the film."

'Hunt' depicts the story of National Intelligence Service agents Park Pyung-ho (played by Lee Jung-jae) and Kim Jung-do (played by Jung Woo-sung), who suspect each other while trying to root out a spy hidden within the organization, facing a massive incident. Lee Jung-jae participated in the screenplay, directing, and acting, and his close friend and fellow operator of Artist Company, Jung Woo-sung, co-starred.

Earlier that afternoon, the photo call event with Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung also received intense attention. Locally, cinephiles have been flocking early to secure tickets. About three hours before the official screening in Cannes, all eyes worldwide are on how 'Hunt' will be received at Cannes and what kind of work Lee Jung-jae will present as a director, not just as the global star of 'Squid Game.'
