According to Seoul Metropolitan Government and other local governments, from midnight to 9 PM on this day, a total of 24,554 people across 17 cities and provinces nationwide were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
This is 2,219 fewer cases compared to 26,773 at the same time the previous day.
Compared to the same time a week ago on the 12th (31,459 cases), there was a decrease of 6,905 cases, and compared to the 5th (26,412 cases), a decrease of 1,858 cases.
Confirmed cases were 11,034 (44.9%) in the Seoul metropolitan area and 13,520 (55.1%) in non-metropolitan areas.
By region, the numbers are as follows: Gyeonggi 5,807, Seoul 4,111, Gyeongbuk 1,679, Gyeongnam 1,509, Gangwon 1,269, Daegu 10,247, Incheon 1,116, Chungnam 1,185, Jeonnam 1,019, Jeonbuk 956, Chungbuk 908, Daejeon 845, Gwangju 810, Busan 757, Ulsan 660, Jeju 377, and Sejong 299.
From the 13th for one week, the daily new confirmed cases were 32,441 → 29,576 → 25,425 → 13,292 → 35,113 → 31,352 → 28,130. The daily average was 27,904 cases.
