[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DL Construction announced on the 19th that it secured construction rights for a total of three small-scale housing maintenance projects in major areas such as Seoul and Busan within May. The total construction cost amounts to approximately 211.2 billion KRW.

The 'Seoul Junghwa Station 2-1 District Street Housing Maintenance Project,' for which DL Construction secured construction rights on the 14th, is planned to be carried out in the Junghwa-dong area of Jungnang-gu, Seoul. A multi-family housing complex consisting of 6 buildings, ranging from 2 basement floors to a maximum of 15 floors above ground, will be constructed. The complex will comprise a total of 285 households. The total construction cost is about 64.2 billion KRW, and the construction period is expected to take approximately 25 months after actual commencement.

The project site is known for excellent road and public transportation access. Seoul Subway Line 7's Junghwa Station is located about a 5-minute walk away, and Dongbu Expressway and Dongil-ro are adjacent, providing superior transportation conditions. Additionally, educational facilities are concentrated around Junghwa Station, ensuring a favorable educational environment, and within a 1 km radius of the project site, large supermarkets, terminals, and traditional markets are conveniently close.

DL Construction is expanding its presence in key regions by consecutively securing construction rights for small-scale housing maintenance projects not only in Seoul but also in Busan. The 'Busan Myeongjang-dong Street Housing Maintenance Project,' for which construction rights were secured on the 12th, is a project to build three buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to a maximum of 28 floors above ground in the Myeongjang-dong area of Dongnae-gu, Busan, including 249 multi-family housing units and ancillary welfare facilities. The total construction cost is approximately 70.5 billion KRW, with a construction period of about 30 months from the actual start date.

The 'Busan Guseo-dong (Geumhwa, Sanho, Samsan) Small-scale Reconstruction Maintenance Project,' for which DL Construction secured construction rights on the 14th, is planned to be carried out in the Guseo-dong area of Geumjeong-gu, Busan. It will consist of three buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to a maximum of 25 floors above ground, including multi-family housing and ancillary welfare facilities. The multi-family housing will comprise a total of 278 households. The total construction cost is about 76.5 billion KRW, and the construction period is expected to take approximately 29 months after actual commencement.

Previously, DL Construction has shown prominence in small-scale housing maintenance projects by securing construction rights in projects such as the Busan Gwang-an-dong 373BL Street Housing Maintenance Project starting in January, the Busan Handok Apartment Small-scale Reconstruction Project, the Jeonju Geumam-dong Sewon Apartment Street Housing Maintenance Project, the Seoul Myeonmok-dong Street Housing Maintenance Project, and the Seoul Jongam-dong Street Housing Maintenance Project.

A DL Construction official stated, “This year, we have achieved results in the housing business by securing construction rights mainly for small-scale housing maintenance projects in key areas nationwide,” and added, “We will continue to maintain the upward trend in the core housing sector and accelerate efforts to achieve annual orders of 3 trillion KRW.”
