Dongmyung University Department of Automotive Engineering Collaborates with Korea Transportation Safety Authority to Implement 'Automobile Culture University'

Dongmyung University held the "Automobile Culture University" program at the Korea Transportation Safety Authority's Busan Haeundae Inspection Center for about 30 students majoring in Automotive Engineering.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Do-ing Talent Development University Dongmyung University participated in the "Automobile Culture University" program held by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority Busan Haeundae Inspection Office on the 12th, targeting about 30 students majoring in Automotive Engineering.

The event was attended by Yang Kyung-chae, Head of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority Busan Headquarters, Authority staff, and professors from Dongmyung University's Department of Automotive Engineering.

The program provided a 3-hour explanation on topics including ▲automobile inspection system ▲job creation related to inspections ▲promotion of automobile tuning.

Yoo Chang-wan, Deputy Director of the Haeundae Inspection Office, explained the automobile inspection system and job creation opportunities such as recruitment for regular and intern positions at the Authority.

Im Sung-soo, Deputy Director of the Headquarters' Tuning Technology Support Team, shared with the students the automobile tuning system and the government's policies to revitalize the tuning industry.

Kwon Chang-jin, Director of the Haeundae Inspection Office, stated, “We will promote various industry-academia cooperation initiatives to nurture local talent and arrange opportunities for Dongmyung University Automotive Engineering students to visit the inspection office and observe the inspection process.”

The "TS Automobile Culture University" program is a talent donation-type social contribution activity by the Authority that educates participants on understanding automobiles, maintenance tips, and self-repair methods for consumables.

Selected for the 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University project, Dongmyung University's Department of Automotive Engineering is equipped with the latest practical training equipment and operates eco-friendly automobile curricula.
