[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] With the full lifting of social distancing measures, sales of the "clean lager - Terra" are recovering to pre-COVID-19 levels.
According to HiteJinro on the 19th, the shipment volume of Terra to the entertainment market increased by 9% during the month immediately following the lifting of social distancing (April 18 to May 13) compared to the same period in 2020 when COVID-19 began to spread in earnest. Compared to the month before the lifting of social distancing (March 18 to April 13), this figure rose by 95%.
HiteJinro plans to accelerate marketing activities to continue revitalizing the entertainment market and targeting the home market. With the increase in group drinking gatherings, they plan to launch the "Terra Tower" by the end of this month. HiteJinro developed the Terra Tower to enhance the taste and enjoyment of so-maek (a mix of soju and beer), offering visual fun with a tornado-shaped design and the optimal so-maek flavor.
HiteJinro has also tripled the supply of the Terra bottle opener "Spooner," which has recently been in short supply and receiving enthusiastic responses. The Spooner, previously used mainly in entertainment channels, will be distributed more widely to home channels such as large supermarkets and convenience stores. From mid-May, a special corner will be operated at major nationwide large supermarkets where consumers purchasing Terra will receive a Spooner as a gift. Customized color Spooners will be produced and distributed in line with university festival seasons, and from the second half of the year, they plan to continue popularity with various Spooners featuring changes in shape, color, and material.
The Terra eco-friendly project will also be continuously strengthened. Based on Terra’s clean brand concept, HiteJinro has been conducting eco-friendly marketing in collaboration with various recycling brands. This year, they are producing eco-friendly goods in cooperation with "Qcleaf," "Nugak," "Sculpig," and "Kundal," and ahead of the peak season, they plan to launch eco-friendly projects linked to outdoor activities, camping, and surfing.
