[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] D&C Media (CEO Shin Hyunho), a supplier of web novel and webtoon content, announced on the 17th that it has signed a partnership with Gaia Protocol to promote mutual cooperation in new business areas related to NFT and metaverse.
A D&C Media official stated, “In the NFT and metaverse business led by D&C Media, we plan to actively incorporate Gaia Protocol’s proven strong economic system to provide differentiated content, systems, and platforms to domestic and overseas markets.”
Gaia Protocol is a blockchain-based DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) conducting numerous NFT projects based on a strong community.
In particular, Gaia Protocol’s main NFT project, ‘Gaia Chronos,’ is the first DeFi 2.0 NFT that introduced the decentralized economic concept of depositing NFT sales proceeds to pay interest to NFT holders. DeFi 2.0 NFTs are projects combining DeFi 2.0 (blockchain-based online financial services) and NFTs.
Additionally, ‘Gaia Chronos’ is designed to maximize the preservation of investors’ principal through a buyback fund by driving the value increase of minted NFTs via a strong community of NFT & Crypto investors centered around NFT holders, offering high safety as an advantage. Besides Gaia Chronos, Gaia Protocol is also promoting NFT projects such as Gaia Supernova and Stable DAO.
Meanwhile, D&C Media established a Content Strategy Headquarters this year to promote its metaverse community platform business and is currently pursuing the issuance of NFTs based on new characters and worldviews.
