Chorokbaem Media Accelerates New Businesses Including NFT and Metaverse

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Comprehensive content media company Chorokbaem Media announced on the 17th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) related to blockchain and NFT with Future Stream Networks. Chorokbaem Media, which is conducting a new NFT business, plans to rapidly expand its business area based on strong partnerships with various domestic and international operators.

Recently producing numerous drama contents such as "My Liberation Notes," "One Day," and "Penthouse," Chorokbaem Media will maximize synergy effects by combining blockchain-based NFT and metaverse specialized technologies with media content and entertainment businesses starting from this business agreement.

Chorokbaem Media recorded consolidated sales of 149.1 billion KRW and operating profit of 4.2 billion KRW last year. The company is promoting new businesses in various ways, including expanding digital content using excellent intellectual property rights (IP) with partner companies and developing content incorporating NFT and metaverse technologies.

A Chorokbaem Media official said, "By adding references successfully carried out by partner companies, it will be possible to create synergy effects in promoting blockchain-related linked businesses such as IP-utilized NFT and metaverse new businesses pursued by Chorokbaem Media."

He added, "Recently, new services and businesses utilizing blockchain technologies such as NFT and metaverse are emerging as a new paradigm," emphasizing, "The business agreement will inject vitality into promoting new media businesses."

Earlier, Chorokbaem Media signed strategic partnerships last year with global NFT platforms such as MEXC, Bybit, and APENFT.
