"Competing with Experience" ZetaFlex Jamsil Branch Introduces Futsal Stadium Zetaflex Jamsil Branch, Futsal Stadium.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Mart announced on the 17th that it has opened a 'futsal field' of approximately 1300㎡ (about 400 pyeong) on the rooftop of Zeta Plex Jamsil Branch. This is Lotte Mart's new attempt to provide various offline customer experiences through content that embodies communication and shared values with consumers.

Zeta Plex Jamsil Branch has gained customer favor by introducing the 'Tasting Tap,' where various wines can be sampled, along with the 'Bottle Bunker,' which occupies 70% of the first floor of the mart. This time, they are opening a futsal field, also known as mini-soccer. Reflecting the trend of increasing customers enjoying futsal as women's soccer gains popularity through entertainment programs, Lotte Mart said it will approach customers with content that can only be experienced offline.

Since large marts with the simple concept of purchasing goods alone have limitations in competing with e-commerce, it was judged necessary to develop content that can directly induce customer participation, encourage store visits, and increase dwell time. Zeta Plex Jamsil Branch operates a wine tasting space, a roller rink, and Decathlon, a mega sports store focused on experiences, and is transforming into an entertainment space where culture and recreation can be enjoyed together by newly introducing the futsal field.

The newly introduced futsal field is equipped with high-quality facilities such as KS-certified eco-friendly artificial turf, LED lighting, light-blocking screens considerate of local residents, and safety fences. The quality of operation has been enhanced by applying the training curriculum of the Daecheong U12 coaching staff, known as a youth soccer academy. Certified sports instructors from the Korea Football Association (KFA) coach the field, and staff holding lifeguard and sports massage certifications are stationed to prepare for any possible safety accidents.

At the futsal field, a free public youth soccer class is held every Saturday, and on every other Sunday that is not a mandatory holiday, classes such as 'Soccer Class with Dad' and 'Healing Yoga with Mom' are also conducted.

Lee Heung-no, MD (Merchandise Planner) of Non-Food Tenants at Lotte Mart, said, "We plan to increase customer satisfaction with content that customers can directly participate in while also extending the time they spend in the store," adding, "We will strive to develop content that can be enjoyed together in daily life, moving away from conventional marketing."
