WHO "North Korea, Rapid Spread of COVID-19 if Immediate Action Not Taken"

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] The World Health Organization (WHO) warned on the 16th (local time) that COVID-19 could spread rapidly in North Korea.

In a statement, WHO expressed concern that "North Korea, which has not yet started COVID-19 vaccinations, faces a risk of rapid spread among the public if immediate measures are not taken to contain the virus."

WHO further stated, "We express concern over the COVID-19 outbreak in North Korea," and added, "WHO is ready to provide support to the North Korean government."
