[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Tae-woo, the People Power Party candidate for Gangseo District Mayor, announced his pledge, stating, “I will create a future through change and make Gangseo a place where people want to live.”

Candidate Kim revealed plans to promote the development of a ‘Hwagog New Town-level’ project as a new growth engine for Gangseo, aiming for a new town development plan that surpasses the scale of Moa Town across the entire Gangseo area.

Kim said, “By creating a second Magok district through large-scale development, Gangseo District will experience another massive growth,” and expressed his determination, “I will transform Hwagog and Magok New Town into twin engines driving Gangseo’s development, turning it into a second Gangnam.”

Additionally, Kim emphasized, “I will finalize the easing of height restrictions, a long-standing issue in the Gangseo area, and significantly expand redevelopment and reconstruction.”

He also stated, “I will build the Gangseo Cultural Center, create a cultural belt in the southwestern region, and establish an advanced regional management system to make Gangseo a safe and resilient city.”
