[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] J-Storm, a subsidiary of optical communication network specialist Woorinet, announced on the 16th that it has signed an MOU with NFT specialist company Saimpam to establish an 'NFT Project Community Solution.'
J-Storm is a newly established subsidiary by Woorinet to enter the metaverse and NFT platform business. It aims to secure a 'K-Culture digital content platform' to promote Korean culture to the global market.
Saimpam, led by rapper Superbee, operates the Metabums NFT project. Artists affiliated with Young & Rich Records participate as key ambassadors, and the project has gained attention for its distinctiveness.
Through this collaboration, they will introduce an NFT-based ticketing solution and an automated marketing solution that offers various online and offline event benefits to NFT holders. Based on this, J-Storm plans to build a D2C (Direct to Customer) platform connecting NFT issuers and NFT holders, targeting entertainment companies, artists, and creators who issue and operate NFT projects, and develop a membership-based event marketing solution linked to this platform.
A Woorinet official stated, "This collaboration marks the first step for Woorinet, which has been conducting optical communication network business, to newly establish a cultural industry ecosystem," adding, "We plan to cooperate in building specialized NFT solutions and tokenomics linked to K-Culture artists and fandom platforms in the future."
