Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Invites Jeju Students to 42nd Anniversary of May 18 Memorial Ceremony

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education invited 24 people, including students and teachers from Jeju Hallim Girls' Middle School, to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the May 18 Democratic Movement.


According to the Gwangju Office of Education on the 16th, they will experience May 18 historical sites such as Chonnam National University and the National May 18 Democratic Cemetery from the 16th to the 17th.


On the first day, starting at Chonnam National University, the first site of the May 18 Democratic Movement with the historical site No. 1 marker stone, they will visit Deulbul Night School site, Citizen Apartments, and continue various exchange activities themed around May 18 with students from Sanjeong Middle School.


After paying respects at the National May 18 Democratic Cemetery, on the following day, the 17th, they will also appear on Gwangju MBC's special live broadcast "Raensun Owolgil" (Online May Road).


They will tour the May 18 Archives, Jeonil Building 245, and the Geumnam-ro area, and watch the May play "Oh! Geumnam Restaurant" held on the special stage at Geumnam-ro.
