40s Man Arrested for Breaking into Ex-Cohabitant's Home and Wielding a Weapon... Ex-Cohabitant and Niece Transported to Hospital


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] An incident occurred where a man in his 40s broke into his ex-cohabiting partner's house and injured her and her niece with a weapon.


According to the Gangseo Police Station in Busan on the 16th, around 10:30 PM on the 15th, a man in his 40s, Mr. A, broke into the house of his ex-cohabiting partner, a woman in her 50s, Ms. B, in Gangseo-gu and wielded a weapon against Ms. B and her niece, a woman in her 20s, Ms. C, before being arrested.


Mr. A waited in advance before Ms. B entered the house, and when Ms. B and Ms. C came in, he swung the weapon.


Ms. B and Ms. C sustained injuries to their heads and hands, and Mr. A was arrested on the spot by responding police officers on charges of attempted murder.


Ms. B and Ms. C, who were transported to the hospital, are reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.


A police official stated, "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant after investigating Mr. A, but we cannot disclose detailed information as the investigation is ongoing."
