DL E&C Hosts 'Customized Family Events' for Family Month

DL E&C Hosts 'Customized Family Events' for Family Month A family member of an employee at DL E&C is enjoying an art picnic at Seoul Forest in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DL E&C announced on the 16th that it held various events in May, the "Month of Family," to allow employees to spend precious time with their families. DL E&C planned and conducted customized events considering various family structures, including employees living with their parents, employees with children, and employees working overseas.

DL E&C, together with D Museum, held an "Art Picnic" event for employees with elementary school children at D Museum in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and Seoul Forest over the past weekend. The event consisted of viewing the D Museum exhibition, participating in an educational program, and then enjoying a picnic in Seoul Forest.

Sixty DL E&C employees and their families visited the "Anyway, Love: Romantic Days" exhibition at D Museum, which is currently themed around love. They then participated in D Museum's signature educational program, "Kids Workroom: Animation Project," where they created a 2D animation featuring their family stories using a moving projector that combines principles of science and motion. Afterwards, they moved to nearby Seoul Forest carrying pre-prepared D Museum art product picnic mats and snacks to enjoy a relaxing picnic.

Additionally, DL E&C collected letters from employees working overseas and delivered them along with lamb rib meal kits and wine to their parents. Although they could not cook the meals themselves, this reflected the overseas employees' desire to offer a wonderful dining experience.

Furthermore, DL E&C sent mock exam sheets composed of questions designed to help family members better understand each other, along with flower baskets and meal kits, to each household so that employees' families could enjoy happy times together. DL E&C also conducted programs where employees could create unique mugs with their children or spouses.

A DL E&C representative stated, "As the COVID-19 situation has somewhat stabilized, we conducted family-friendly programs both in-person and online, unlike the past two years when they were held remotely. We will continue to operate various programs for our employees to foster a family-friendly work environment."
