Announcement of Winning Entries for Broadcast Video Content Planning Contest
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced the winners of the South Korean broadcasting video content planning proposal contest on the 16th, following the announcement on the 13th. Sixty content pieces optimized for online video streaming services (OTT) were selected. These include twenty-two dramas, eighteen entertainment and educational programs, and twenty documentaries. Each work receives a maximum prize of 50 million KRW. A representative from the Korea Creative Content Agency stated, "Innovative attempts such as musical dramas and metaverse-utilized entertainment stood out," adding, "Many of the selected works were planned targeting overseas viewers."
The Korea Creative Content Agency will provide follow-up support to achieve results in production and distribution as well. From next month, consulting and special lectures will be held over four months to enhance the completeness of the proposals, and customized mentors will be connected according to genre and stage. Ten works that complete the program with excellent results will be given the opportunity to participate in 'Pitch-ON' scheduled for October. A representative from the agency said, "Seven works, including the documentary 'Coup d'?tat 1 Year, the Dream of Myanmar Youth' and the dramas 'From Now, Showtime!' and 'Crisis X: Because He's an Ajae, He Hurts,' have been selected as Korean video content production support projects and are either airing or about to be released."
