[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation held an on-site meeting to reflect youth employment policies.
On the 14th, the Gyeonggi Job Foundation held an on-site meeting at the Uijeongbu Youth Center 'Cheongnyeon Gonggamteo' to provide guidance on youth employment policies promoted by Gyeonggi-do this year and to discuss measures to resolve the unstable employment issues of youth managers in youth spaces. They also delivered the 'Promise of a Youth Center (Space) Where Working Youth Are Respected' to promote the culture of guaranteeing labor rights for young people.
Jo Eun-joo, Head of the Youth Employment Division at the Foundation, said, "Through the activities of the collaboration group, the foundation is building a hub model for youth support by strengthening youth autonomy and expanding youth participation," adding, "We will continue to strengthen solidarity and cooperation systems so that youth spaces and centers at the city and county levels and youth employment policies are widely communicated and spread."
Since last year, the foundation has been operating the 'Gyeonggi Youth Employment Collaboration Group,' which involves local youth to perform the function of a metropolitan-level youth participation-based employment council.
Through the collaboration group, youth opinions are actively reflected in youth employment projects.
The foundation plans to continuously gather opinions from local youth together with the collaboration group and carry out public campaigns to create 'workplaces where working youth are respected.'
