Lotte Department Store, Hiring Double-Digit Number of New Employees in First Half of the Year... Lotte Department Store will hold a metaverse recruitment briefing session on the 'ZEP' platform starting at 1 PM on the 20th.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Department Store announced on the 15th that it will completely revamp its recruitment process and begin hiring new employees for the first half of 2022.


The keyword for this recruitment process is nurturing job experts. With the ambition to select talents with great future potential and actively support their growth, the existing ‘Internship Linked Recruitment’ has been changed to the ‘Potential Track.’ A new ‘Career Track’ has also been established to recruit employees with more than two years of early-career experience.


Through the Potential Track, a double-digit number of new employees will be hired. This recruitment will be conducted by dividing locations into the metropolitan area and integrated regions (Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Chungcheong, Honam). Applications can be submitted on the Lotte Group recruitment website from 10 a.m. on the 16th of this month until 6 p.m. on the 29th (Sunday). Candidates who pass the document screening and first interview will undergo a six-week internship at a store within their applied region to develop their sales field capabilities. Afterwards, the final successful candidates will be selected by comprehensively reviewing the final interview and internship performance evaluations.


To select proactive MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) talents, the recruitment process has been completely redesigned. Unlike before, when only executives with over 10 years of practical experience participated as interviewers, this recruitment includes MZ generation employees with 3 to 5 years of practical experience as interviewers. Additionally, instead of the previous PT interview where all applicants presented on the same topic, a job interview has been introduced to deeply assess applicants’ industry interest and job suitability on various issues.


This recruitment provides various information using the metaverse and YouTube. From 1 p.m. on the 20th, a metaverse recruitment briefing will be held on the ‘ZEP’ platform. Applicants who pre-register via the QR code in the recruitment announcement can receive job counseling from employees currently working at Lotte Department Store or learn success tips from new employees who passed last year.

We will continue to strive to become a workplace where employees want to work by focusing on individual career development and improving organizational culture after joining.”
