[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 13th that it will recruit tenants for 1,426 long-term lease housing units.
Long-term lease housing is rental housing supplied at 80% or less of the surrounding market price. This time, 21 newly supplied units are included, such as 13 units at Cheongnyangni Station Harrington Place and 8 units at DMC SK View. The re-supply consists of ▲285 remaining vacant units caused by tenant move-outs or contract cancellations in 50 complexes across 19 districts in Seoul, including Gangil and Segok New Towns ▲1,120 preliminary tenants selected in complexes without vacancies.
The average deposit by area for this recruitment is ▲under 60㎡ exclusive area: 430.74 million KRW ▲over 60㎡ up to 85㎡: 477.86 million KRW ▲over 85㎡: 720.833 million KRW.
Eligibility requires applicants to be members of a household without a home residing in Seoul as of the announcement date, and must not exceed certain income, real estate, and automobile criteria per household according to the applied area. For housing units under 85㎡ exclusive area, subscription priority is determined by income conditions, residence, and the number of times subscribed to the comprehensive subscription savings. For units over 85㎡ exclusive area, the deposit amount and subscription period of the comprehensive subscription savings are important. Priority supply is for households with three or more children and those earning 70% or less of the average monthly urban worker income, while special supply is provided to newlyweds.
The tenant recruitment announcement will be posted on the SH Corporation website at 3 PM today. Applications can be submitted online or by visiting the corporation from the 23rd to the 30th. Move-in is possible starting November.
