[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jung-wan] Former President Moon Jae-in shared news for the first time since his retirement on his social media service (SNS) on the 12th.
On that day, former President Moon wrote on his Facebook, "My first outing after returning home, I paid respects at my father’s and mother’s graves and also visited Tongdosa Temple."
He continued, "I offered prayers at the temple hall, met with Seongpa Jongjeong Sunim and Hyunmun Jujisunim, and enjoyed a rare treat of good tea and comfortable conversation," adding, "Tongdosa is a temple with very beautiful scenery and a virtuous energy felt from many years of accumulated prayers."
He also added, "My house is right next to the fence of Tongdosa, and since my friend Seunghyo Sang designed it while referencing the layout of Tongdosa’s temple complex a lot, we joked about it becoming a 'branch temple of Tongdosa.'"
Furthermore, he shared an update, saying, "The house is not yet fully organized, and the five dogs and one cat, my companion animals, are still unsettled, but I am doing well."
The Pyeongsan Village Secretariat of former President Moon stated, "Besides the writings the President himself shares, the Secretariat will occasionally update you on daily life in Pyeongsan Village," and shared photos of the former President and his wife during their outing.
