Forty Corporate and Institutional Representatives from Various Fields Participate
"Regular Seminars to Be Held... Reflected in Next Year's Projects"

Kocca Launches 'Metaverse Content Forum'


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency launched the Metaverse Content Forum on the 12th. It is a conference body that will lead the growth and future value enhancement of the metaverse content ecosystem. The forum aims to derive policy goals and tasks for the activation of the metaverse.


Forty representatives from various companies and institutions participated in the forum. Among them were Choi Eun-seok, Vice President of District; Baek Seung-yeop, CEO of Sidus Studio X; Kim Se-gyu, CEO of VIVE Studios; Lee Hye-won, CEO of Gear E; Nam Yoo-jung, Operating Director of Nine Corporation; Kwon Do-gyun, CEO of AirFun Interactive; Park Ji-eun, CEO of Pulse Nine; Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation; as well as content-related figures such as Kim Seok-hwan, Vice President of Wemade; Lee Dong-woo, CEO of Roy Visual; Choi Jong-il, CEO of ICONIX; Yoo Kyung-sun, Director at SM Entertainment; and Kim Jae-hoon, Vice President of WYSIWYG Studios.


Platform and technology personnel included Bae Ki-dong, Executive Director at KT; Choi Yoon-ho, Head of Metaverse CO at LGU+; Lee Seung-hee, General Manager of The Sandbox Korea; Kim Hyung-jun, CEO of Tessa; Kim Jae-wook, CEO of Yeolmae Company; Lee Kang-min, CEO of MetaKongz; Kim Dong-eun, CEO of Metaverse Production Company; Lee Doo-hee, CEO of Meongjaengi Sajacheoreom; Kim Ji-yoon, CEO of Metacat Universe; Lim Ji-soon, CEO of ThreePM; Kim Deok-jung, Head of Strategy at Platta Exchange; and Kim Beom-joo, Head of Unity Korea.


Additionally, participants included Yoo Min-ho, CSO of Decent; Hong Won-ho, CEO of SV Investment; Park Jae-ha, Business Director at Barunson Labs; Yoon So-jung, Director at KB Investment; Lee Chang-young, Team Leader at Yuanta Securities; Yeon Jeong-wook, Manager at BGF Retail; Kim Jong-seo, Executive Director at GS Retail; Choi Hyun-seok, CEO of F&S Holdings; Choi Dae-bung, Professor at Sungkyunkwan University; Lee Sung-yeop, Professor at Korea University; Jung Ji-hoon, Professor at DGIST; Lee Hyang-eun, Professor at Sungshin Women’s University; Choi Sam-ha, Professor at Soongsil University; and Park Hye-jin, Professor at Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technologies.


A representative from the Korea Creative Content Agency explained, "We will conduct regular seminars by topic until September to derive tasks for new growth and discuss ways to provide high-quality content." The core topics include ▲ Metaverse content and IP ▲ Metaverse content production-investment-distribution ▲ Expansion of the NTF ecosystem area through content ▲ Metaverse laws, systems, and policy environment. They will also brainstorm on government support projects for metaverse content, expansion of investment and financing, and talent development. The representative added, "The comprehensive policies proposed at the November settlement will be reflected in the agency’s projects for the next year."
