[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Venture Business Association announced on the 12th that the major policy tasks proposed by the association during the presidential election period have been reflected in the candidates' pledges (27 items) and subsequently incorporated as core venture policies in the Yoon Suk-yeol administration's 110 national agenda tasks.
In particular, through a meeting with the Economic Subcommittee 2 of the Presidential Transition Committee on the 26th of last month, Kang Sam-kwon, chairman of the Korea Venture Business Association, conveyed his voice to ensure that policies are reflected to revitalize the venture ecosystem through market-centered digital economy development and regulatory innovation.
The national agenda announced by the Transition Committee on the 4th included key contents proposed by the association such as △private-led innovative growth △regulatory system innovation △expansion of working hours selection rights △realization of a complete venture ecosystem △creation of a re-challenge environment △institutionalization of non-face-to-face medical treatment △training of one million digital talents △activation of venture investment.
The association welcomed the fact that many policy proposals were reflected in the national agenda, stating that it reflects the principle of private-led economic growth and the fact that venture companies are the core agents in realizing the digital transformation.
Furthermore, considering that the establishment of innovation infrastructure is relatively delayed compared to advanced countries with which Korea must compete to dominate the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the association urged efforts for the rapid realization of the national agenda.
Chairman Kang stated, "It is necessary to swiftly and boldly promote regulatory reform, flexible working hour systems, and the training of high-level digital talents, which are the most urgent tasks in the venture business field."
He added, "While contributing to the realization of the national agenda and the leap of the Republic of Korea as an innovative nation, we will closely monitor the detailed implementation process of the national agenda together with over 38,000 venture companies."
