According to Chinese media Pengpai on the 12th, a Tibet Airlines passenger plane veered off the runway and caught fire.
The passenger plane, which took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and was heading to Lhasa, Tibet, caught fire on the left wing as it veered off the runway.
It is reported that passengers evacuated urgently immediately after the accident, but specific information about casualties or injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Xinhua News Agency reported that after veering off the runway, the passenger plane caught fire, and injured people were transported to the hospital.
The aircraft involved in the accident is known to be an Airbus A319 model.
Due to the passenger plane veering off the runway, all flights at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport are currently reported to be canceled.
In China, on March 21, an Eastern Airlines passenger plane carrying 132 passengers crashed, resulting in all fatalities. The plane crashed while flying from Kunming to Guangzhou. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
