Don't Worry About Calories!
"Wow~ It's summer!" The weather these days makes you want to shout this, as the season of ice has finally arrived. As the weather gradually gets hotter, the editor stocks sparkling water in the fridge. Although 'zero' drinks are rapidly growing as a new health trend in the beverage world, they are not actually 0 kcal. So the editor sometimes uses extracts and powdered mixes to quench thirst while managing calories and health. Here are three simple ways the editor enjoys using sparkling water.
Omija
Omija, which gives off a clear red color, is named for its five flavors: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and spicy. It is rich in vitamin C, which helps boost immunity. Vitamin C is also an excellent ingredient for skin health. Be careful! The concentration and sweetness of the extract vary depending on where you buy it! Omija extract tastes similar to the sourness of the fruit itself. The tangy and refreshing omija ade helps relieve thirst.
Crystal Light
This product is one of the items the editor always stocks up on during Olive Young sales. It dissolves well even in cold water, making it convenient and delicious to hydrate with low calories. It comes in five flavors, so you can choose according to whether you want something tangy or sweet.
The editor’s favorites are Raspberry Green Tea and Peach Mango Green Tea. If you crave a tangy and refreshing taste, try Raspberry Green Tea; if you want something sweet, Peach Mango Green Tea is recommended. Both products contain green tea, so be cautious of caffeine!
Kombucha
Kombucha has recently gained great popularity as a health drink. Kombucha is fermented by extracting green or black tea. The most easily available brand nearby, Teazen Kombucha, is freeze-dried from the original extract and contains 12 types of probiotics and prebiotics. It has 0g of sugar. Flavors include peach, yuzu, lemon, and berry, and recently pineapple flavor was also released.
When mixed with water, it has a slightly tangy fizz, but when combined with sparkling water, it boasts a stronger carbonation. If you mix the powder directly with sparkling water, you can witness excessive foaming as shown in the photo. To prevent this, dissolve the powder in a small amount of water first, then add sparkling water. All flavors contain 0~3mg of caffeine, but berry has 0mg and peach less than 1mg, for your reference!
Due to its acidity, it is not recommended to consume on an empty stomach!
