[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Myunghwan] Dunamu is sponsoring the 'Jangbogo Economic School,' a youth economic education program run by the Insurance Training Institute.
On the 11th, Dunamu announced that in line with its ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management mission, it will support the Jangbogo Economic School together with the Children and Future Foundation to establish and expand community education. Starting this month at Imun Elementary School in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, the program plans to provide about 40 economic education sessions this year to 1,200 students in elementary and middle schools in the metropolitan area, as well as at district offices and public libraries.
The Jangbogo Economic School is a project-based education program developed and operated by the Insurance Training Institute as part of its youth economic education initiatives. The elementary and middle school curricula were completed last September, and full-scale operation begins this year. The Jangbogo economic education is also preparing materials on the Fourth Industrial Revolution in conjunction with Dunamu's youth economic education curriculum, 'Duniverse.'
Min Byungdoo, Director of the Insurance Training Institute, said, "Through the Jangbogo economic education in partnership with Dunamu, children and adolescents will develop the ability to envision and propose plans as pioneers of the future. The goal is to enhance children's economic thinking skills through diverse themes and curricula tailored to different growth stages, going beyond simple economic classes such as opening piggy banks or securities accounts or holding flea markets."
Lee Seokwoo, CEO of Dunamu, stated, "Dunamu is pursuing sponsorships and collaborations with various companies and institutions to create social value and nurture young talent. We hope that proper financial education will help youth plan their careers and serve as a foundation for cultivating future talent."
