Songpa Residents Get Up to 70% Discount on Sister City Tourist Attractions

Songpa Residents Get Up to 70% Discount on Sister City Tourist Attractions


[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu announced on the 10th that it will provide benefits allowing residents to use recreational facilities and tourist attractions in domestic sister cities at discounts of up to 70%.


To expand private exchanges and revitalize local tourism, the district has agreements with domestic sister cities to mutually offer benefits for using major attractions and facilities. By presenting an ID that verifies residency in Songpa-gu, residents can use regional recreational facilities and tourist sites for free or at discounted rates.


First, ▲in Danyang-gun, Chungbuk, Ondal Tourist Site, Darian Tourist Site, Auto Camping Site, and Mancheonha Skywalk offer discounts of up to 50%, while Soseonam and Sobaeksan Natural Recreation Forests offer discounts ranging from 30% to 50%. ▲In Gongju-si, Chungnam, Gongsanseong Fortress, Songsan-ri Tumuli, and Seokjang-ri Museum can be used free of charge.


▲In Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi, the Hwangpodotbae boat can be used at 30% of the regular price, and ▲in Andong-si, Gyeongbuk, Hahoe Village and Dosan Seowon Confucian Academy offer admission discounts ranging from 40% to 80%. ▲In Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, Gochang Eupseong Fortress offers a 50% discount, and Seokjeong Healing County offers a 20% discount. ▲In Yangyang-gun, Gangwon, Osan-ri Prehistoric Site Museum and Naksansa Temple offer free admission, and ▲in Suncheon-si, Jeonnam, Suncheonman National Garden, Nagan Eupseong Folk Village, and Suncheon Drama Film Set offer 50% discounts.


Additionally, Songpa-gu operates an online ‘Sister City Direct Market’ on its website at all times, allowing residents to purchase excellent agricultural and specialty products from sister cities at affordable prices.


Detailed mutual benefits between sister cities can be found on the district’s website under the ‘Our Songpa - Sister Cities’ bulletin board or by checking with the respective sister cities.


Meanwhile, through consultations with local businesses, the district also offers discount benefits on its tourist attractions to sister cities and Songpa-gu residents. ▲Tickets for Lotte World Adventure, Lotte World Aquarium, and Seoul Sky are available at discounts ranging from 30% to 45%, and ▲reservations at Songpa Hotel Park Habio can be made at prices discounted up to 70%.


A district official said, “We hope residents enjoy traveling in sister cities full of benefits and heal their tired bodies and minds,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to provide more practical benefits to activate exchanges between sister cities and enhance the convenience of local residents.”
