[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Coast Guard urgently transported two emergency patients from island areas and the sea in Jeonnam to the mainland.

According to the Mokpo Coast Guard Station on the 10th, at around 1:29 a.m. that day, a report was received that resident A (female, 50) in Sangjodo, Jindo-gun, was suffering from severe abdominal pain, and the coastal patrol boat from the police substation was dispatched to the scene.

The Coast Guard boarded A and her guardian onto the coastal patrol boat at Changyu Port, Jodo, and quickly transported them to Seomang Port, Jindo.

Earlier, at 9:14 a.m. on the 9th, the Coast Guard transported crew member B (50), who complained of rib pain due to a fall near Jaewondo, Sinan-gun, by boarding him onto a patrol vessel and taking him to the mainland.

The two emergency patients transported with the help of the Coast Guard were moved to a hospital and are currently receiving treatment.

A Mokpo Coast Guard official said, “We will do our best to protect the lives of the people by maintaining a state of immediate response to emergency patients occurring in island areas and at sea, far from the mainland.”
