[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] Russia has threatened Elon Musk, the American billionaire who aided Ukraine. Musk responded coolly, but his family seemed upset.

On the 9th (local time), according to the U.S. space news outlet Space.com, Musk posted on Twitter on the 8th about SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service, which was mentioned by Dmitry Rogozin, the head of the Russian Federal Agency, in Russian media. Rogozin stated, "Elon Musk is involved in supplying military communication equipment to the fascist army in Ukraine," adding, "Elon, you must take responsibility like an adult for this, no matter how foolishly you act."

At the end of February, when Russia invaded Ukraine, Musk, along with the U.S. government, urgently airlifted 5,000 Starlink satellite internet terminals to Ukraine. He also activated the Starlink satellite internet service in the Ukrainian region, where it had not been available until then. This played a significant role in informing the world about the horrors of war, including combat situations and allegations of mass massacres, through Ukrainian citizens and soldiers while some ground communication networks were paralyzed, putting Russia in a difficult position. Rogozin referred to this fact and threatened to "hold him accountable."

Musk's response was cool. He joked on Twitter, "If I die for mysterious reasons, it was nice knowing you." However, his family was cold. Musk's mother, Maye Musk, posted on Twitter with two angry face emoticons, sarcastically saying, "Not funny at all." Musk replied here as well, joking, "Sorry, Mom. I'll do my best to survive." That day was also 'Mother's Day' in the U.S., a day to appreciate parental love.

Space.com reported, "Considering that Rogozin tends to exaggerate and speak harshly, it seems Musk is not seriously worried about his safety," adding, "The two have already exchanged arguments several times." In fact, between March and April, Rogozin actively represented the Russian side on social media by threatening to close the International Space Station (ISS) in response to international sanctions against Russia or posting videos 'mocking' the U.S. side by saying he would abandon American astronauts.
