Presenting Key Pledges Including Hosting AI Advanced Semiconductor Specialized Complex
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Young-rok, the Democratic Party of Korea's Jeonnam gubernatorial preliminary candidate, opened the election office 'Great Leap Happiness Camp' on the 9th and embarked on a grand journey for an overwhelming victory in the June 1 local elections.
Former National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang, former floor leaders Won Hye-young and Woo Won-shik, former Jeonnam Governor Heo Kyung-man, former Minister Chun Jung-bae, National Assembly member Seo Dong-yong, and former National Assembly member Kang Ki-gap attended to celebrate the opening.
Former Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, Emergency Committee Chairman Yoon Ho-jung, floor leader Park Hong-geun, National Assembly Vice Speaker Kim Sang-hee, Seoul mayoral candidate Song Young-gil, and Incheon mayoral candidate Park Nam-chun congratulated the opening of the 'Great Leap Happiness Camp' through videos and congratulatory messages, lending their support to Kim's overwhelming victory.
In addition, about 5,000 people from various sectors including local businesspeople, local elders, culture and arts, social welfare, disabled persons, religious groups, journalists, and protection organizations, as well as Jeonnam residents, visited and brightened the event.
The attendees at the opening ceremony highly evaluated the historic achievements of the 7th term of the civilian government led by Kim as Jeonnam governor and voiced a unanimous call for the necessity of uninterrupted development of Jeonnam.
Former Speaker Moon said, "Kim, who possesses intelligence, passion, and courage and is a capable worker, must continue for the development of Jeonnam," adding, "He is the best candidate to continue democratic politics in Honam. Let Honam unite tightly and show the strength of the Democratic Party."
Former floor leader Woo said, "Kim is the person who can surely open the era of happiness in Jeonnam. Various figures such as pledge fulfillment rate, Jeonnam budget, and Jeonnam gross production speak for themselves. Jeonnam is preparing for a new start and a new vision," adding, "Please support Kim, who can work well and develop Jeonnam, for the construction of a new Republic of Korea."
Preliminary candidate Kim Young-rok stated, "Based on numerous achievements and changes over the past four years, I will create a historic time where Jeonnam soars toward the world as a new growth axis of the Republic of Korea," and "Together with the great people of Jeonnam, I will realize the 'Great Leap, Jeonnam Happiness Era.'"
He continued, "Since the last presidential election, the Democratic Party and Honam have been pushed into crisis," and "We must create an era where Honam becomes the center of Korean politics again. Please show the united strength and potential of Jeonnam for an overwhelming victory in this local election."
