This is related to the luncheon meeting held on the 8th between Kang Kijeong, Gwangju mayor preliminary candidate, and local members of the National Assembly, where they resolved to achieve a One Team victory.
On the 9th, Candidate Kim stated in a press release, "As a Seo-gu mayor candidate chosen by the Democratic Party, I will do my best to unite with one heart and one mind for regional development."
He also emphasized, "The five district mayor preliminary candidates are also mutually discussing various methods, such as promoting policy town hall meetings, to ensure a definite election victory for the Democratic Party," adding, "We will establish a strong opposition party stance following the inauguration of the Yoon Seok-yeol government to protect local residents and continue policy development and field-oriented efforts that make citizens comfortable and happy."
